The Opportunity: Armed Security Officer
This seat is an important part of ARDENT’s field operation. Armed Security Officers protect people, property, and trust through professional presence, clear communication, accurate reporting, sound judgment, and consistent standards.
This role supports a residential/community environment and requires professionalism, alertness, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm in routine and tense moments.

What You'll Do
- Maintain a professional armed security presence at assigned posts and client locations.
- Follow post orders, site procedures, property rules, and ARDENT standards consistently.
- Conduct continuous foot patrols of the property.
- Observe, report, document, and communicate concerns clearly.
- Support access control, patrols, visitor interaction, incident response, and client expectations based on assignment.
- Treat clients, residents, visitors, teammates, and the public with respect.
- Enforce property rules and regulations professionally and consistently.
- Remain alert, calm, and prepared during overnight hours.
- Escalate concerns at the right time with accurate information.
- Write clear, accurate, and detailed reports.
- Build a strong foundation for future growth into field leadership, ERT, or specialized assignments.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $20-$21 per hour

If you have these qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Active Florida Class D Security License.
- Valid Florida Class G Statewide Firearm License.
- Must have your own firearm that meets company and assignment requirements.
- At least 1 year of recent armed security experience, or previous military or law enforcement experience.
- Understanding of Florida security officer guidelines, legal responsibilities, and professional boundaries.
- Experience writing clear and detailed reports.
- First Aid, BLS, or basic self-defense training preferred, but not required.
If you have one of these:
- Armed security experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, patrol, access control, or high-visibility security.
- Military or law enforcement experience.
- Public-facing experience that required professionalism, communication, and good judgment.
- Overnight, independent post, or foot patrol experience.
- A strong record of reliable attendance, professional conduct, and following site expectations.

Week in the Life
You may begin the week reviewing post orders, uniform standards, access procedures, patrol expectations, and site rules.
You may monitor activity, complete foot patrols, assist residents or visitors, communicate with clients, and document concerns.
You may respond to a site issue, remain calm, gather facts, and escalate through the right channel.
You may enforce property rules while still treating people with professionalism and respect.
You may receive coaching from a supervisor and use that feedback to improve your field performance.
By the end of the week, your reliability and professionalism should help the site feel safer, clearer, and better supported.
