About us

MUST HAVE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IN A FULL SERVICE RESTAURANT.

OAK AND OLA is looking for an Assistant Manager that has a passion for building their team as well as a high level of customer service. Our focus is to create memorable experiences for our guests and to be the educators to our team members. If you believe you have the hospitality gene and the experience of developing and coaching our people, OAK AND OLA is the place for you.

OAK AND OLA is a Modern Contemporary European American restaurant located on the Hillsborough River at the historical Armature Works building. We are chef driven restaurant with a concentration on craft cocktail and wine. Our menu is constantly changing with the seasons and our teams our always learning in order to be the educators to our guests. Our AM must have fine dining experience and a strong base of wine and spirit knowledge.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
Organize and supervise shifts
Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations

Skills

Proven work experience as an Assistant Manager for a minimum of 2 year in fine dining.
Proven customer service experience as a manager
Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
Familiarity with restaurant management software, like Yelp or Hot Schedules
Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
Acute financial management skills
BS degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
