The Installation Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing daily field installation operations to ensure Storm Smart products are installed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role supervises installation crews, coordinates schedules and resources, and serves as the key point of contact between installers, operations leadership, and customers. The Installation Supervisor ensures jobs are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with company procedures, building codes, and safety regulations, while actively coaching and developing installers to drive performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Field Leadership & Crew Management
Supervise daily activities of installation crews across assigned territories or branches.
Lead, coach, train, and mentor installers and helpers to drive performance, quality, and safety.
Assign jobs, set clear expectations, and ensure crews are properly staffed, equipped, and prepared.
Conduct ride-alongs, job site visits, and performance evaluations.
Project Execution & Quality Control
Oversee installations from start to finish, ensuring work meets Storm Smart quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer expectations.
Inspect completed work, address deficiencies, and ensure timely corrections.
Troubleshoot installation challenges and provide technical field support.
Ensure proper documentation, photos, and close-out requirements are completed accurately and on time.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific safety procedures.
Conduct job site safety audits and lead toolbox talks.
Ensure crews consistently use proper PPE, tools, and equipment.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and property damage, and support corrective actions.
Scheduling & Cross-Functional Coordination
Partner with Scheduling, Warehouse, Electrical, and Operations teams to align labor, materials, and timelines.
Support workload planning, crew utilization, and daily route efficiency.
Proactively communicate delays, scope changes, and resource needs.
Customer Experience & Brand Representation
Serve as a field escalation point for customers and resolve issues professionally and in a timely manner.
Ensure installers consistently represent Storm Smart’s brand, values, and service standards.
Support complex installations, inspections, and job walk-throughs.
Represent Storm Smart’s professionalism across all job sites and community interactions.
Performance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Monitor productivity, quality, rework, callbacks, and safety metrics.
Identify training needs and recommend operational and process improvements.
Support new hire onboarding, certifications, and installer development pathways.
Provide regular updates to Operations leadership on crew performance, field conditions, and improvement opportunities.

Required Skills/ Abilities:
Proven ability to lead, coach, and hold installation teams accountable
Strong knowledge of construction and installation practices, tools, and materials

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred
Minimum of 5 years of installation or construction experience, with prior lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience supervising crews, coordinating job sites, and ensuring quality and safety standards
Strong working knowledge of construction methods, tools, and job site safety practices
Experience with residential and/or commercial installations preferred
Proficient with mobile technology, work order systems, and basic reporting tools
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required (must meet company insurance standards)
