Full Job Description

We are looking for a bookkeeper/assistant to join our office that uses QuickBooks Desktop. This position is a Monday-Friday part-time(1pm-5pm) to start with a possible transition to a full time position. Pay will be based on experience, proven skills, and education.

The ideal candidate will be hard-working, able to undertake a variety of office support tasks, and can work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion, as well as have the ability to multitask.

Responsibilities may include

A/P, A/R and Payroll and assist others when needed.
File weekly and quarterly payroll tax forms both Federal and State
Coordinate benefits
Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner
Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information
Close out and perform monthly reconciliations
Resolve office-related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues.
Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues.
Perform receptionist duties.

Skills

Proven experience in an office or other administrative role
Proven experience with bookkeeping practices
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office(Excel)
Proficiency in A/P, A/R and Payroll required
Bilingual preferred
Associate Degree preferred
