Full Job Description

Position

LoCicero Health has an opening for a part-time Podiatrist (DPM) to join our team providing high-quality comprehensive foot, ankle, and lower extremity care within a multi-specialty medical practice in Tampa, Florida. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment of conditions affecting the foot, ankle, and lower extremities

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic podiatric conditions

Provide preventive, therapeutic, and surgical podiatric services as appropriate to training and credentialing

Diagnose and manage conditions including diabetic foot complications, wounds, ulcers, infections, deformities, injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders

Order, interpret, and review diagnostic studies, imaging, laboratory tests, and other clinical evaluations as necessary

Perform clinic-based procedures and treatments in accordance with applicable standards of care

Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, preventive care, footwear recommendations, and follow-up care

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care

Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient documentation within the electronic medical record system

Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical compliance initiatives

Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies

Promote a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered clinical environment

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills

Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree is required

Current unrestricted podiatric physician license in the State of Florida is required

Board certification or board eligibility in podiatric medicine is required

Strong knowledge of podiatric medicine, wound care, diabetic foot management, and lower extremity disorders

Excellent clinical, organizational, and critical thinking skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Commitment to patient safety, professionalism, and patient-centered care
