GMS JOB TITLE: Accounts Payable Analyst

FLSA Status: Exempt

HOURS: Full Time (40+ hours per week)

JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Accounts Payable Clerk Role is responsible to process client invoices for assigned accountants and key client contacts in accordance with Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes. This position reports directly to Senior leaders and indirectly to Staff Accountants.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES include but are not limited to the following:

All aspects of accounts payable to include coding invoices, sending invoices for approvals, entering invoices in the accounts payable system, check approval, check printing, mailing, and filing;
Processing payroll for supervisors and all aspects of payroll;
Annually printing and distributing of W-2 and 1099’s;
Customer service with vendors and timely responses to phone calls, and emails;
Scanning, filing, and copying documents;
Various other responsibilities that may arise related to accounting department and personnel
Coordinating and communicating with vendors;
Ensuring compliance with internal controls over financial reporting;
Working with cross-functional teams across the company to ensure proper support for the business unit and assigned clients;
Supporting team along with support for business growth and client needs;
Maintaining records including scanning, filing, and copying documents.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing may be required, which would require the ability to lift boxes, files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree/pursuing BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, and/or similar discipline with analytical bias desired, while not required, or equivalent work experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office products, specifically Email, Word, and Excel
Knowledge and application of accounting software.
