Certified / Registered Medical AssistantPrivate Surgical Practice with Aesthetic Certification Requirement

ColoWell America, founded by Dr. Shiraz Farooq, is a private surgical practice in Tampa, Florida offering compassionate colorectal care, aesthetic care, and modern patient-centered treatment programs. Our office combines a high-standard clinical environment with a warm, team-oriented culture. We take excellent care of our patients, support each other, and take pride in bringing exceptional customer service to medicine.

Our clinic is located near St. Joseph’s Main Hospital, close to Armenia Avenue and Hillsborough Avenue.

We are looking for a motivated, professional, and personable Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with both clinical and front-office ability. This position requires comfort with patient care, procedures, scheduling, phones, sales conversations, and aesthetic services.

Ideal Candidate

Excellent at relating to patients
Experienced in sales or patient package conversion
Experienced in aesthetics or willing to grow strongly in that area
Comfortable working in a private surgical practice environment

Required Qualifications

2–3 years of Medical Assistant experience required
Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant required
Aesthetic certification required - Mandatory
Current active Medical Assistant certification or registration
Fluent English required
Full-time availability required
Experience with EMR systems NEXTECH-
MAC /APPLE/IPHONE product experience
Sales experience strongly preferred
Must be comfortable with both clinical and front-office responsibilities
Must pass background check

Responsibilities

Clinical and procedural duties include:

Patient triage and vitals
Rooming patients
Assisting with in-office procedures and minor surgical procedures
Preparing rooms and supplies
Supporting physician and clinical workflow
Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment

Front-office and administrative duties include:

Answering phones
Scheduling patients
Opening and closing duties
EMR documentation and patient coordination
Supporting front-desk workflow as needed
Patient communication and follow-up

Aesthetic and sales-related duties include:

Discussing aesthetic treatment packages with patients
Supporting sales of aesthetic and wellness packages
Educating patients on available services
Helping create an excellent patient experience from consultation to treatment completion

Schedule

Full-time position
Tuesday through Saturday
Sunday and Monday off

Remote work is not available.

Pay

$23.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience, certification, aesthetics background, and overall fit.
