Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our team at Jorgensen Steel Machining & Fabrication Inc. As a CNC Programmer/Machinist, you will play a crucial role in producing precision components that meet our high standards of quality. Responsibilities

Set up, perform tool changes, operate CNC machines and manage offsets to produce precision parts according to specifications.
Program CNC machines using Okuma Conversational control for optimal performance.
Program and set up lathe milling and drilling operations.
Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Work primarily with steel materials and maintain tight tolerances.
Contribute to a prototype or similar job shop environment.
Utilize precision measuring instruments to inspect finished products for quality assurance, which includes calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
Perform quality checks on all finished products.
Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and workflows.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Programming with conversational or G-Code.
Capability to set up and operate CNC Machinery.
Solid understanding of machining processes and techniques.
Blueprint reading and interpretation skills a must.
Possession of a personal toolbox and necessary tools.
Proficiency with measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges.
Live tooling an Milling wanted but no required.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Familiarity with CAD software is a plus but not required.
Ability to operate forklifts and other machinery safely is beneficial.
Ability to follow written procedures, policies, and instructions.
Ability to work alone and/or with team.
Ability to lift, bend, stand, and twist.
