Full Job Description

Job Summary
Are you a Caregiver that resides in Escondido, Poway, San Marcos or any of the surrounding areas? Do you have a passion for Caregiving and a desire to give back? Brightstar Care is hiring the best of the best to provide care to our clients! Senior/Adult/child care services throughout the County.

Hiring IMMEDIATELY for AM 12 hour shifts SUN-TUES

Hiring Immediately for PM 4 hour shifts

Requirements:

Must have caregiving experience and strong skill set.

High school diploma or GED

Must have ACTIVE HCA (Home Care registry Aid Number)

Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray

Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile with proof of insurance

Duties

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
Monitor and record vital signs, patient observations, and changes in health status to ensure prompt response to medical needs.
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with meal planning and cooking.
Support medication administration following prescribed schedules while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe patient transfers and mobility.
Maintain a clean, organized living space by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and sanitation.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and follow personalized care plans that address specific health conditions like dementia, Alzheimer's, or autism.
Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement for clients.

Qualifications

Prior experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is highly desirable.
Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, and medication administration.
Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in hospice or dementia care is a plus.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and operate mobility aids safely.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or memory impairments such as Alzheimer’s disease.
