Assistant Manager – Best Pizza & Brew MurrietaAbout the Role

Best Pizza & Brew is looking for a dependable, energetic Assistant Manager to help lead our Murrieta restaurant.

We’re a busy, fast-casual neighborhood restaurant serving New York-style pizza, wings, salads, sandwiches, and local craft beer. Our goal is to create a place where people love to work and love to hang out.

The Assistant Manager works alongside the General Manager to lead the team, run smooth shifts, maintain high standards, and make sure every guest has a great experience. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and leading from the floor—not managing from the back office.

Responsibilities

Lead shifts and keep the restaurant running smoothly during busy periods
Create a welcoming, positive experience for every guest
Support, coach, and motivate front-of-house and kitchen team members
Help train new employees and reinforce Best Pizza & Brew’s service and operating standards
Assign positions and make staffing adjustments based on business levels
Maintain fast ticket times, accurate orders, and consistent food quality
Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reporting
Respond professionally to guest concerns and resolve problems quickly
Maintain high standards for restaurant cleanliness, organization, and food safety
Monitor inventory, assist with ordering, and help reduce waste
Support takeout, delivery, catering, and online-order operations
Help the General Manager improve sales, control labor, and manage restaurant costs
Set the example by bringing a positive attitude, working with urgency, and stepping in wherever the team needs help

What We’re Looking For

Previous restaurant leadership or shift-management experience
Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant is preferred
Strong communication and leadership skills
A positive, dependable, and team-first attitude
Ability to coach employees and hold the team accountable in a respectful way
Strong attention to food quality, cleanliness, hospitality, and order accuracy
Comfortable handling cash, using a POS system, and completing basic restaurant paperwork
Ability to stay organized and make good decisions during busy shifts
Willingness to work a flexible restaurant schedule, including nights and weekends
A genuine interest in hospitality and creating a great place to work
