POSITION SUMMARY
Bleuwave Electrical LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Technician who will also serve as the company’s Qualifying Party.
This is a dual-role position. Both qualifications are mandatory.
The successful candidate must be capable of independently diagnosing, repairing, installing, and servicing residential and commercial electrical systems while also meeting the requirements necessary to serve as the Qualifying Party for Bleuwave Electrical LLC with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors (ROC).
This is not a management-only or license-only position. The individual will be expected to actively perform and support electrical service work in the field while providing the technical oversight necessary to maintain Bleuwave Electrical's licensing, workmanship, code compliance, and electrical standards.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must meet both of the following requirements:
1. Electrical Service Technician
- Proven hands-on electrical service experience.
- Capable of independently troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems.
- Able to work directly with residential and commercial customers.
- Able to complete service calls from diagnosis through final testing and customer communication.
2. Qualifying Party
- Must currently qualify, or be immediately eligible to qualify, as the Qualifying Party for Bleuwave Electrical LLC with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors.
- Must possess the experience, examinations, documentation, and other qualifications required by the Arizona ROC for the applicable electrical contractor license classification.
- Must be willing to be formally designated as Bleuwave Electrical LLC's Qualifying Party.
- Must maintain all requirements necessary for the company to keep its electrical contractor license in good standing.
Applicants who can only perform service work but cannot serve as the Qualifying Party will not qualify for this position.
Applicants seeking only to place their license with the company without actively participating in electrical operations and service work will not qualify for this position.
ELECTRICAL SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Electrical Service Technician / Qualifying Party will perform electrical troubleshooting, repair, replacement, installation, maintenance, and service work including:
- Diagnose electrical problems and determine appropriate repairs.
- Troubleshoot circuits, breakers, panels, receptacles, switches, lighting, equipment, and electrical distribution systems.
- Perform residential and commercial electrical service calls.
- Repair and replace electrical panels and components.
- Install and replace circuit breakers.
- Troubleshoot tripping breakers, shorts, open circuits, ground faults, and other electrical problems.
- Install dedicated circuits.
- Install receptacles, switches, lighting, and controls.
- Install GFCI and AFCI protection as required.
- Install EV charger circuits and equipment.
- Perform electrical panel and service upgrades.
- Install disconnects and equipment connections.
- Troubleshoot HVAC and mechanical equipment electrical feeds when within electrical scope.
- Install conduit, raceway, conductors, boxes, fittings, and associated electrical components.
- Perform electrical inspections and safety evaluations.
- Identify code deficiencies and recommend corrective work.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, one-lines, and equipment documentation.
- Determine required materials before and during service calls.
- Test completed work for proper voltage, amperage, grounding, operation, and safety.
- Document service findings, photographs, recommendations, and completed work.
- Prepare accurate field information for estimates and change orders.
- Maintain clean and professional work areas.
- Protect customers' property while performing service work.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers.
- Identify legitimate additional repair or replacement opportunities while maintaining an ethical, customer-first approach.
QUALIFYING PARTY RESPONSIBILITIES
As Bleuwave Electrical LLC's Qualifying Party, responsibilities will include:
- Serve as the designated Qualifying Party for the company's applicable Arizona electrical contractor license.
- Provide technical supervision and oversight of electrical operations.
- Ensure electrical work is performed in accordance with applicable electrical codes, adopted building codes, manufacturer requirements, plans, specifications, and accepted trade practices.
- Assist management in maintaining compliance with Arizona Registrar of Contractors requirements.
- Maintain the knowledge and qualifications required to remain the company's Qualifying Party.
- Participate in technical review of significant or complex electrical projects when required.
- Provide guidance to electricians and service technicians regarding code and installation requirements.
- Review questionable field conditions and assist technicians in determining compliant corrective actions.
- Assist in establishing Bleuwave electrical installation and quality-control standards.
- Assist with electrical inspections, callbacks, warranty issues, and corrective work when necessary.
- Support permit and inspection processes when required.
- Help ensure work performed under Bleuwave Electrical's license complies with applicable regulations.
- Immediately notify management of licensing, compliance, safety, or code issues that could affect the company.
- Cooperate with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors and other authorities having jurisdiction when required.
- Maintain the integrity and professional standards expected of the company's Qualifying Party.
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
The preferred candidate should have extensive hands-on knowledge in areas including:

- 120/208V and 120/240V systems
- 277/480V systems where applicable

CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPECTATIONS
Bleuwave operates a professional service organization. The technician must be comfortable interacting directly with customers and representing the company professionally.
Responsibilities include:
- Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled calls.
- Explain electrical problems to customers in understandable terms.
- Clearly explain recommended repairs and available options.
- Obtain authorization before performing additional work.
- Accurately document work performed.
- Photograph existing conditions and completed work when appropriate.
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
- Treat customers, employees, vendors, inspectors, and other contractors professionally.
- Maintain Bleuwave's standards for customer service and workmanship.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Significant professional electrical field experience.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting ability.
- Demonstrated residential and/or commercial service experience.
- Ability to independently complete electrical service calls.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and applicable local requirements.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications.
- Ability to use electrical diagnostic and testing equipment.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to use mobile service software, photographs, email, and electronic documentation.
- Ability and willingness to perform physical field work associated with the electrical trade.
Most importantly:
- Must be able to serve as Bleuwave Electrical LLC's Arizona Qualifying Party.
- Must also actively work as an Electrical Service Technician.
Both requirements are conditions of employment for this position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must be able to perform normal electrical field duties, including:
- Lift and carry tools, ladders, equipment, and electrical materials.
- Work from ladders and lifts.
- Work above ceilings and in electrical/mechanical rooms.
- Bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in confined areas when required.
- Work indoors and outdoors in Arizona weather conditions.
- Safely lift approximately 50 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance.
- Wear required personal protective equipment.
SAFETY
Safety is a condition of employment.
The technician is expected to:
- Follow OSHA requirements and Bleuwave safety procedures.
- Use appropriate PPE.
- Follow electrical lockout/tagout procedures.
- Verify circuits and equipment are in a safe condition before beginning work.
- Never perform energized work unless specifically authorized, necessary, and performed under applicable safety requirements.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, injuries, or electrical hazards.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is an experienced electrician who has spent years actually troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and understands what it takes to operate a professional electrical service company.

- Understands electrical code.

- Can communicate with customers.
- Can mentor less-experienced technicians.
- Understands the responsibility associated with being a contractor's Qualifying Party.
- Wants to actively participate in the company's electrical operations rather than simply allowing the company to use their qualification.
IMPORTANTTHIS IS A DUAL-ROLE POSITION.
The successful applicant must be:
A qualified Electrical Service Technician
AND
Bleuwave Electrical LLC's Qualifying Party.
Both are mandatory.
Candidates who cannot fulfill both responsibilities should not apply.
