About the Position

This role is responsible for helping ensure materials and products move safely, accurately, and efficiently through the warehouse while providing leadership and direction to the warehouse team. The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee key activities including receiving, material handling, inventory control, storage, picking, staging, and shipping while working closely with production and other departments to support the needs of the business.
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just manage from a desk. The right person is comfortable working alongside the team when needed, solving problems as they arise, developing employees, and continuously looking for ways to make the operation safer, more accurate, and more efficient.
If you have strong warehouse experience and are ready to take greater ownership of people and operations, we encourage you to apply.
What You’ll Do
Warehouse Operations
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, unloading, material movement, storage, picking, staging, and shipping.
- Assign daily priorities and workloads to warehouse team members based on production and shipping requirements.
- Monitor the flow of materials throughout the facility and adjust priorities as needed to keep operations moving.
- Ensure incoming materials are received, counted, inspected, documented, and stored accurately.
- Ensure outgoing materials and products are picked, staged, documented, and shipped accurately and on time.
- Maintain an organized warehouse layout with clearly identified storage locations and proper material placement.
- Coordinate material movement between the warehouse, production, assembly, fabrication, and other departments.
- Troubleshoot material shortages, inventory discrepancies, shipping/receiving issues, and other warehouse challenges.
- Step in and assist with hands-on warehouse activities when necessary to support the team and meet operational needs.
Inventory Control & Accuracy
- Maintain accurate inventory by ensuring all material movements and transactions are completed correctly and on time.
- Oversee cycle counts and physical inventory activities and investigate discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
- Help identify the root causes of inventory errors and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat issues.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, identified, stored, and easily accessible.
- Monitor inventory locations and warehouse organization to improve accuracy and material flow.
- Work with purchasing, production, planning, and other teams to communicate shortages, discrepancies, and material availability.
- Maintain accurate warehouse, inventory, receiving, and shipping documentation.
- Support accurate use of ERP, inventory management, and/or warehouse management systems.
Team Leadership
- Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and support to warehouse team members.
- Assign work clearly, set expectations, and follow up to ensure tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
- Train and develop employees on warehouse procedures, equipment, inventory practices, safety requirements, and company expectations.
- Coach team members when performance or quality falls below expectations and recognize strong performance.
- Help employees understand how their individual work affects production, quality, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Encourage accountability and ownership while creating an environment where employees are comfortable identifying problems and suggesting solutions.
- Lead by example and be willing to work alongside the team when operational needs require it.
- Help identify training needs and opportunities for employees to cross-train and expand their skills.
Safety & 5S
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.
- Ensure warehouse employees follow established safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment.
- Reinforce safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, material-handling equipment, and other warehouse tools.
- Identify unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, or workplace hazards and ensure they are addressed promptly.
- Support safety inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
- Maintain strong 5S standards throughout warehouse, storage, staging, and shipping/receiving areas.
- Ensure aisles, docks, work areas, and emergency access points remain clean, organized, and unobstructed.

Equipment & Preventive Maintenance
- Ensure forklifts, pallet jacks, warehouse equipment, tools, and work areas are properly maintained.
- Monitor equipment condition and ensure required inspections are completed.
- Identify signs of equipment wear or failure and initiate maintenance requests before problems disrupt operations.
- Coordinate with Maintenance when equipment repairs or service are needed.
- Ensure team members understand proper equipment care and safe operating practices.
Continuous Improvement
- Look for opportunities to improve warehouse flow, inventory accuracy, productivity, safety, ergonomics, and organization.
- Participate in and support Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous-improvement activities.
- Identify unnecessary movement, delays, handling, or other forms of waste within warehouse processes.
- Help standardize warehouse procedures, labeling systems, storage methods, and visual controls.
- Work cross-functionally to remove barriers that affect material flow and production.
- Use operational data and performance trends to identify problems and recommend solutions.
- Take ownership of improvement projects and follow them through to completion.

- Previous experience leading, supervising, training, or directing warehouse employees strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control practices.
- Experience with receiving, shipping, picking, staging, cycle counting, and material movement.
- Experience using ERP, inventory management, or warehouse management systems preferred.
- Forklift and material-handling equipment experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and delegate work in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate issues rather than simply work around them.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with production, purchasing, planning, quality, and other departments.
- Ability to hold team members accountable while providing constructive coaching and support.
- Dependable attendance and strong follow-through.
- A hands-on leadership style and willingness to help the team wherever needed.
Leadership Experience
We recognize that strong leaders don’t always come with the title “Supervisor.”
Candidates with solid warehouse experience who have served as a team lead, lead warehouse associate, shipping/receiving lead, inventory lead, or similar hands-on leadership role are encouraged to apply.
We’re interested in candidates who understand warehouse operations, can earn the respect of a team, take ownership of problems, and are ready to grow into greater leadership responsibility.
Pay
Pay for this position ranges from $25.00–$32.00 per hour, depending on warehouse experience, leadership experience, technical skills, inventory and systems knowledge, and overall qualifications.
Candidates with strong supervisory experience, advanced inventory-control knowledge, ERP/WMS experience, Lean or continuous-improvement experience, and demonstrated success leading warehouse teams may be considered toward the higher end of the pay range.
What Success Looks Like
A successful Warehouse Supervisor creates an operation where the team knows what’s expected, materials can be found when they’re needed, inventory records can be trusted, shipments and receipts are accurate, and safety and organization are part of the daily routine—not something addressed only when there’s a problem.
You’ll be expected to take ownership of the warehouse and its performance while developing a team that does the same.
Success in this position includes:
- Safe and organized warehouse operations.
- Accurate receiving, shipping, and inventory transactions.
- Strong inventory and cycle-count accuracy.
- Materials available when production needs them.
- Work completed accurately and on time.
- Employees who are properly trained and understand expectations.
- Equipment that is cared for and maintained.
- Problems identified early and addressed at the root cause.
- Consistent progress in productivity, quality, safety, and material flow.
- A warehouse team that communicates, takes ownership, and continuously improves.
Our Culture
At Catco, our passion is empowering people through energy resilience. Every team member has responsibilities that contribute to moving the company toward that vision.
We value people who take ownership, continuously improve the systems around them, and are willing to step outside their comfort zone to help the organization grow.
Our culture is built around three core values:
Proactivate. Focus your energy on what you can control. When something is stuck, take ownership of helping get it unstuck. Don’t wait for someone else to solve a problem you can help move forward.
Kaizenify. Look beyond temporary fixes. Find root causes, improve the system, and continually look for better ways to work.
Drive with the Fear. Be willing to operate just outside your comfort zone. Bring urgency, initiative, resilience, and the willingness to ask for help when it’s needed.
We also expect honesty, respect, reliability, and a willingness to contribute to the success of the team.
Why Join Catco?
At Catco, everything we do supports our mission of Energy Resilience for the World. We are building a company where people have the opportunity to grow, contribute, and make a visible impact.
As our Warehouse Supervisor, this is an opportunity to do more than oversee warehouse transactions. You’ll have the ability to influence how the warehouse operates, develop people, improve processes, and help build systems that support Catco as we continue to grow. We use the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to create clarity, accountability, and traction throughout the organization.
We’re looking for a leader who sees a disorganized area and wants to improve it, sees a recurring inventory problem and wants to understand and solve the root cause, and sees an employee with potential and wants to help them develop.
At Catco, your ideas matter, your work has a visible impact, and your leadership can help shape the future of the organization.
If you’re an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys leading people, solving problems, improving operations, and building a strong team, we encourage you to apply.
