Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head Cook to manage our kitchen operations. This role involves overseeing all aspects of food preparation and kitchen management within a family dining environment. This is a breakfast and lunch only restaurant, opening the kitchen at 6am in the morning and preparing pies and lunch specials while also completing short order tickets for dine in and to go orders through lunch time, leaving at 1 or 2 pm, Monday thru Friday.

Duties

Open the kitchen each morning preparing for days lunch specials, pies, cooking breakfast orders and lunch grill orders.
Manage inventory control and food handling procedures ordering weekly food and supplies from food distributor.
Oversee kitchen operations including cooking, food production, and kitchen management to maintain smooth workflow during busy periods.
Ensure kitchen operations are in compliance with all health regulations.

Qualifications

Supervising experience in a restaurant setting with demonstrated leadership skills
Strong knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and health regulations
Experience managing inventory, cost control, and food handling procedures
