Sales Representative – UCO Collection Services Remote – Houston, TX Metro Area

Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday to Friday (flexible field hours) Compensation: Competitive weekly salary + commission per account signed Start Date: Immediate

About Us

Fatty Chem is a growing environmental services company specializing in the collection and processing of Used Cooking Oil (UCO). We partner with restaurants, supermarkets, food processing facilities, and other food service businesses to provide reliable, scheduled grease and UCO pickup services. Our mission is to deliver a seamless, value-added service that helps our clients manage waste responsibly while contributing to a cleaner environment.

We are expanding our operations in the greater Houston, TX area and are looking for a motivated, self-driven Sales Representative to build our customer base from the ground up.

Role Summary

As our Sales Representative for the Houston market, you will be responsible for identifying and signing new accounts across the food service and food processing sectors. This is a field-based, remote role — you will work independently in the Houston metro area, prospecting and closing accounts that will become part of our growing collection route network. You will be the face of Fatty Chem in this market and play a key role in our regional launch.

Key Responsibilities

Prospect and visit potential accounts including restaurants, supermarkets, cafeterias, hotels, food processing plants, and institutional kitchens throughout the Houston metro area
Present and communicate the value of Fatty Chem's UCO collection services to decision-makers (owners, managers, purchasing directors)
Close service agreements and onboard new accounts
Build and manage a pipeline of active prospects using Zoho CRM — log all calls, visits, and follow-ups consistently
Submit a weekly pipeline report with account status, estimated volumes, and next steps
Develop route-dense clusters of accounts to maximize collection efficiency
Maintain strong relationships with signed accounts to ensure retention and identify upsell opportunities
Represent the company professionally and provide accurate information about service schedules, pricing, and terms
Work closely with management to relay market feedback and competitor activity

Requirements

Required:

2+ years of B2B outside sales experience, ideally in food service, distribution, waste management, or environmental services
Proven track record of prospecting and closing new accounts
Comfortable with cold calling, door-to-door visits, and in-person presentations
Self-motivated and able to work independently without day-to-day supervision
Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license
Proficiency with CRM tools (we use Zoho CRM)
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Based in or very familiar with the Houston, TX metro area

Preferred (Nice to Have):

Existing contacts or relationships in Houston's food service industry (restaurants, food processors, hotel chains, grocery chains)
Experience selling to route-based or logistics-intensive businesses
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

What Success Looks Like

We measure performance by results, not hours.

Before you start prospecting, we expect you to hit the ground running: study the Houston market, map out the highest-density zones for food service and food processing businesses, build your initial target list of at least 100–150 prospects (restaurants, grocery chains, hotel kitchens, school cafeterias, food manufacturers), and get fully familiar with our service offer, pricing structure, and CRM setup. This preparation phase is key — the more organized your territory is from day one, the faster you will close.

In your first 90 days, we expect:

20–25 new prospect contacts per week (calls + visits) logged in Zoho CRM
10 new signed accounts per month starting from month 1
Consistent weekly pipeline report submitted before your check-in call

You will have full autonomy in how you manage your day — what we care about is that accounts get signed and that your CRM is up to date. We do a 30-minute weekly check-in call to review your pipeline, remove obstacles, and align on priorities.

Work Environment

This is a 100% remote/field role. You will work from your vehicle and from prospect locations throughout Houston. All tools, marketing materials, and CRM access will be provided. Our operations are expanding and this role is a ground-floor opportunity — the right candidate will have significant room to grow with the company.
