Full Job Description

Contract Insurance Manager

6–12-month contract

Hybrid (preferred - Austin, TX) or Remote (TX based)

We are seeking an experienced Contract Insurance Manager to support contract review, insurance compliance, and risk transfer initiatives on a temporary contractor basis. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert partnering cross-functionally with Risk Management, Legal, Purchasing, and operational stakeholders to evaluate contractual insurance requirements, assess risk exposure, and ensure vendor compliance with organizational standards.

Review contracts, procurement documents, and vendor agreements for insurance, indemnification, and limitation of liability provisions
Analyze insurance requirements and provide recommendations aligned to organizational risk tolerance and operational exposure
Evaluate certificates of insurance (COIs), endorsements, and policy documentation to confirm contractual compliance
Identify compliance deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions with legal teams, brokers, carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
Support risk transfer strategy and advise on appropriate insurance requirements across a variety of operational scenarios
Develop, refine, and standardize insurance requirements, procedures, and compliance processes
Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure contract language and insurance requirements align with company standards and risk management objectives
Maintain documentation and support reporting related to insurance compliance activities
Experience reviewing contracts and evaluating insurance/risk transfer provisions
Strong understanding of indemnification, limitation of liability, and contractual insurance language
Experience reviewing and interpreting COIs, endorsements, and insurance policy documentation
Knowledge of multiple lines of coverage including:
-General Liability
-Professional Liability / E&O
-Cyber Liability
-Workers Compensation
-Commercial Auto
-Umbrella / Excess Liability
-Pollution Liability
-Builder’s Risk
-Aviation and other specialized coverages
Experience collaborating with Legal, Procurement/Purchasing, Risk Management, brokers, carriers, and vendors
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing standardized insurance requirements and compliance procedures
Background supporting large enterprise, construction, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, or operationally complex environments
Professional certifications such as ARM, CPCU, CRM, or CIC are a plus

Work Arrangements:

Contract engagement anticipated for approximately 6–12 months with potential extension
Hybrid/remote flexibility based on organizational needs - Preferred Austin, TX based, open to Remote candidates based in Texas

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
