Full Job Description

Position Summary

A busy, highly successful entrepreneur with limited time to devote to personal investments is seeking a sharp, driven recent college graduate to serve as his Personal Financial Manager/Advisor. This is a private, confidential engagement focused exclusively on the Principal's individual finances. We're looking for a true “numbers person” — someone who may be early in their career but has a genuine gift for quantitative analysis and the stock market, and is ready to take on real responsibility and grow into a trusted, long-term advisory role. Prior professional experience is not required; raw talent, sound judgment, and a demonstrated passion for markets matter far more.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the Principal's primary representative and point of contact for personal financial matters, acting on his behalf when he is unavailable due to travel or business commitments.
Attend meetings with banks, brokerages, and investment firms on the Principal's behalf when they present financial or investment opportunities, evaluate what is presented, and report back with clear guidance and a recommendation.
Manage and monitor the Principal's personal investment portfolio, including equities, and recommend strategies aligned with his financial goals and risk tolerance.
Track market conditions and provide informed, timely guidance on buy/sell/hold decisions and portfolio rebalancing.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive personal financial plan, including cash flow, budgeting, retirement, and long-term wealth planning.
Coordinate with the Principal's tax advisor(s), estate attorney, and other professional advisors to ensure a cohesive financial strategy.
Prepare clear, regular reporting on portfolio performance, net worth, and financial position, including summaries of any meetings attended on his behalf.
Evaluate and advise on investment opportunities, alternative assets, and major financial decisions as they arise, exercising sound independent judgment given the Principal's limited availability.
Monitor and help manage personal accounts, bills, and cash flow as needed.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all financial matters and personal information.
Proactively flag risks, opportunities, and inefficiencies in the current financial picture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (recent graduates strongly encouraged to apply).
Exceptional quantitative and analytical ability — a genuine “numbers genius” with a demonstrated aptitude for financial analysis.
Strong personal knowledge of and enthusiasm for the stock market and investing — through coursework, internships, personal trading experience, investment clubs, competitions, or independent study.
High degree of discretion, integrity, and trustworthiness; comfortable handling sensitive personal and financial information.
Strong communication skills, able to explain financial concepts clearly and concisely to a busy principal.
Self-directed, coachable, and highly organized, with the confidence to eventually operate with significant autonomy as trust is established.
No prior professional experience required — this is an entry-level opportunity for the right candidate.

Preferred Attributes

Academic distinction in finance, economics, or a quantitative discipline (e.g., top of class, relevant honors, competition awards).
Internship or coursework exposure to investment analysis, portfolio management, or financial modeling.
Progress toward or interest in pursuing a CFA, CFP®, or similar credential.
Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working closely with, and gradually earning greater responsibility from, a busy principal.

Compensation & Incentive Structure

This role offers base compensation plus meaningful bonus potential directly tied to performance. Strong results will be recognized and rewarded, with substantial bonus opportunity for advice and decisions that yield a high return — a rare opportunity for someone early in their career to be compensated like a seasoned advisor when their guidance delivers. Specific bonus structure and targets to be finalized with the selected candidate.
