Full Job Description

Job SummaryThe Wireline Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality wireline services at the wellsite, including data acquisition (logging), well intervention (perforation, plug setting), and pipe recovery. This role involves managing on-site operations, supervising a field crew, and ensuring strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards in demanding environments.Key Responsibilities

Operational Execution: Plan, prepare, and execute wireline services such as Open Hole or Cased Hole logging, perforation, and mechanical services (setting plugs/packers).
Data Analysis & Reporting: Operate acquisition systems (e.g., Warrior) to capture well data and provide real-time interpretation and quality control for clients.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks, troubleshooting, and repairs of specialized electronic and electromechanical downhole tools and surface equipment.
Safety Leadership: Lead pre-job safety meetings and risk assessments; ensure all operations involving explosives or radioactive sources comply with strict regulations.
Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact on-site, advising customer representatives on logging operations and technical decision-making.
Crew Management: Supervise and train junior engineers and operators, fostering a team environment focused on operational excellence.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related geoscience field is preferred but not required.
Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years of hands-on experience in wireline operations is preferred
Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity with logging software and data analysis tools.
Expertise in Pressure Control Equipment (PCE) and wellbore conditions.
Knowledge of specific tools like PLT (Production Logging Tool) and ultrasonic corrosion logging.
Certifications: Valid certifications such as Well Control (IADC/IWCF), H2S Training, and First Aid
Licensing: A valid driver’s license is required; a Class B CDL

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Harsh Environments: Ability to work in extreme weather conditions at remote land-based or offshore locations.
Demanding Schedule: Willingness to work long, alternating shifts and remain on-call outside normal business hours.
Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift heavy equipment (often over 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks like rigging up/down.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
