Full Job Description

Read this if you're a Loan Officer who's tired of being a line item.

Most mortgage shops treat loan officers like a dial tone. You get handed leads, told to "go close them," and made to compete with the agent's "preferred lender" on every file. You burn out. You plateau. And the client suffers, because nobody's actually on the same team.

We built the opposite of that.

The seat

This is a W2 role with uncapped commission and a structure that pays you the most on the business you bring in yourself. The more you self-generate, the more you keep... that's the whole design. You're not splitting your best work down to nothing to subsidize someone else's. A realistic Year 1 is 40 funded loans and $15M+ in production across a solid conventional and nonQM mix, with no ceiling on the upside.

And you're not doing it alone. You'll have a national lending platform behind you... multi-state reach, dedicated processing from day one, and the product shelf to actually compete. This is a long-term seat.

Who we are

Byrne Real Estate Group and Buyer's Rate Mortgage are one integrated company... a single leadership team running both the brokerage and the mortgage shop. When a buyer works with one of our agents, you're introduced as the in-house lender, not a cold call. Clients aren't required to use us, but we make it easy... borrower incentives, integrated systems, and a seamless agent-to-LO handoff. You still earn the loan with great pricing and service... but you start from trust, not a sales pitch.

What you'd do

Originate and close 40+ loans a year across conventional, government, and nonQM
Work warm, pre-qualified leads routed from our agents and marketing funnel... and build your own referral network with our support
Structure DSCR, asset depletion, and bank statement files as part of the daily mix, not occasional one-offs
Guide buyers and investors with real conversation, not scripts
Partner shoulder-to-shoulder with agents who actually pick up when you call

Who we're looking for

NMLS-licensed in Texas, or actively transferring... we'll sponsor the move
Proven nonQM proficiency: DSCR, asset depletion, and bank statement loans. This is a hard requirement. You should structure these files without hand-holding.
3+ years originating with a documented track record of closed volume
A strong communicator who can explain a rate lock to a first-time buyer and walk an investor through DSCR ratios without losing either
Honest. You'd rather lose a deal than mislead a client
Coachable and curious, even at a senior level... someone who wants to build something, not just cash checks from it
