Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Practice Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, extensive medical office experience, and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems. This role involves coordinating clinical and administrative functions, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care. The Medical Practice Administrator will play a pivotal role in fiscal management, staff supervision, and practice development to promote efficient and effective healthcare services.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination
Oversee financial management activities such as budgeting, billing, coding, and revenue cycle processes.
Supervise administrative staff and clinical personnel to ensure smooth workflow and high standards of patient care
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of medical records and patient information
Oversee human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development
Coordinate with medical providers on practice management issues including utilization management, managed care contracts, and clinic efficiency improvements
Monitor clinic performance metrics and prepare reports for executive leadership
Support medical administrative functions such as appointment scheduling, billing support, and patient record management

Qualifications

Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration with a strong background in fiscal management and financial oversight
Supervisory experience managing clinical or administrative teams within a healthcare setting
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, medical records management, and compliance standards
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Experience in practice management within acute care settings or dental offices is highly desirable
Background in nursing or healthcare management is preferred but not mandatory
Excellent communication skills coupled with leadership capabilities to foster a collaborative work environment
