TruePoint Systems is a managed IT provider, cybersecurity consultancy, and business communications partner headquartered in Longview, Texas. We help small and midsized businesses improve security, reliability, compliance readiness, and communication through practical technology solutions.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a consultative B2B sales professional to grow TruePoint Systems' cybersecurity, audit readiness, Managed IT, and VoIP services across Dallas-Fort Worth and East Texas. This role works directly with owners and executives to uncover business risks, recommend the right solutions, and guide opportunities from first conversation through close.

The cybersecurity focus includes helping clients bridge the gap between cyber liability insurance requirements and actual technical controls, prepare for audits, and build practical compliance roadmaps.

This position requires prior sales or closely related customer-facing experience. Direct experience in managed IT, cybersecurity, telecom, or VoIP is preferred, but not required.

WHAT YOU WILL SELL

Managed IT services, help desk support, cloud, infrastructure, and technology planning.

Cybersecurity consulting, risk assessments, audit readiness, policies, threat monitoring, endpoint and email security.

Vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, cyber insurance readiness, and employee security awareness.

Business VoIP, hosted phone systems, call routing, mobility, and unified communications.

Security remediation and ongoing managed cybersecurity services.

What You Will Do

Build a qualified pipeline across DFW and East Texas through outbound outreach, networking, referrals, and direct field sales.

Lead consultative discovery meetings with owners and C-suite decision-makers to uncover technology, cybersecurity, compliance, insurance, and communication needs.

Walk clients through cyber liability carrier applications and identify technical gaps involving MFA, endpoint protection, backups, incident response, and related controls.

Translate technical vulnerabilities into clear business risks, financial exposure, audit concerns, and practical next steps.

Develop referral relationships with commercial insurance brokers, CPAs, attorneys, chambers, and other trusted business advisors.

Educate Texas businesses on cybersecurity readiness, recognized frameworks, and how documented controls may support.

Texas statutory Safe Harbor protections.

Partner with TruePoint security engineers to scope solutions, present recommendations, and transition assessments into remediation, Managed IT, VoIP, or ongoing security services.

Track outreach, relationships, opportunities, and recurring revenue forecasts in the CRM.

What We Are Looking For

3-5 years of success in B2B consultative sales, technical sales, cybersecurity solution advising, commercial risk consulting, or a related customer-facing role.

A consultative selling mindset with the ability to diagnose needs and recommend solutions instead of relying on product-first selling.

Foundational understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and requirements such as NIST, SOC 2, HIPAA, and cyber insurance underwriting controls.

Strong communication, presentation, listening, organization, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to translate IT and network vulnerabilities into clear business risks and financial liabilities for non-technical executives.

Comfort working independently from home while collaborating with sales, leadership, and technical teams.

Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between DFW and East Texas, including Tyler and Longview.

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and comfort using CRM tools.
