Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)

Full-Time | Skilled Nursing Facility

Lead the Team That Nourishes Our Residents

Huntsville Health Care Center is seeking an experienced Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead our Dietary Services Department.

This is not an entry-level position. Previous Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience and an active Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential are required for consideration.

We're looking for a hands-on leader who understands the importance of nutrition, regulatory compliance, food safety, and exceptional resident dining experiences. If you're passionate about leading a team while making a meaningful impact on residents' quality of life, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

Oversee the daily operations of the Dietary Department
Supervise, coach, and schedule dietary staff
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Texas Health and Human Services requirements
Maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian and interdisciplinary team to meet residents' nutritional needs
Monitor food quality, meal service, and resident satisfaction
Manage inventory, purchasing, and departmental budgets
Participate in state survey readiness and quality improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate documentation and departmental records

Qualifications

Required:

Active Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification
Previous experience as a Dietary Manager in a Skilled Nursing Facility
Thorough knowledge of long-term care dietary regulations
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience with food service management, budgeting, and inventory
Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Preferred

ServSafe Certification
Experience preparing for and participating in state surveys
Familiarity with therapeutic diets and long-term care nutrition standards
