Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Community Liaison to serve as a vital connector between our organization and the diverse communities we serve. In this role, you will foster meaningful relationships, promote community engagement initiatives, and enhance our public presence through strategic outreach and communication efforts. Your energy, interpersonal skills, and dedication will help strengthen community ties, support local partnerships, and ensure our programs resonate effectively with community members. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact while developing your skills in public relations, community management, and project coordination.

Duties

Develop and implement community outreach strategies to increase awareness of organizational programs and services
Serve as the primary point of contact for community partners, local organizations, and stakeholders to build strong relationships
Plan and deliver engaging public presentations for community outreach events, workshops, and informational sessions
Manage social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns to promote community initiatives and events
Coordinate volunteer programs, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and recognition efforts
Collect data on community engagement activities to evaluate effectiveness and inform future planning
Collaborate with internal teams on project management tasks such as budgeting, strategic planning, and event logistics
Maintain detailed records of community interactions, media relations efforts, and outreach outcomes to support reporting needs

Qualifications

Proven experience in community outreach, public relations, or community management roles
Strong media relations skills with experience managing social media marketing and public presentations
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for report writing and data analysis
Demonstrated ability in relationship management and customer service within a community setting
Experience in project management, event planning, or volunteer coordination is highly desirable
Bilingual abilities are a plus to connect with broader audiences
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
