Full Job Description

Accounting Manager – Manufacturing

Location: Denver, CO (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Salary: $115,000-130,000 DOE

Overview

Well-established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations while leading a team responsible for AP, AR, Payroll, Inventory, and Cost Accounting. This position partners closely with the Controller to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and support the financial operations of a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and develop a team supporting AP, AR, Payroll, Inventory, and Cost Accounting
Lead month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and balance sheet reviews
Oversee standard cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
Prepare financial, sales, and management reports
Support inventory accounting, purchasing, and product costing analysis
Review payroll, sales credits, and monthly reporting
Drive process improvements and enhance accounting workflows
Partner with leadership on financial reporting and operational initiatives

Required Qualifications

5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong cost accounting experience
Previous leadership or supervisory experience
Experience with Accumatica ERP
Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and financial modeling
Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Knowledge of inventory accounting and purchasing
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred

Compensation & Benefits
