Community Leadership Academy is seeking a highly organized, energetic, and mission-driven Intervention-TOSA to join our award-winning charter school team. Position Summary

The Interventionist – Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) provides instructional leadership and targeted academic support to improve student achievement through intervention services, assessment coordination, and teacher coaching. This position collaborates closely with administrators, teachers, and families to implement evidence-based instructional practices, analyze student data, and foster a positive school culture focused on continuous improvement.

Provide leadership in developing and maintaining a positive school climate and culture.
Recognize and celebrate student and staff accomplishments in meaningful and equitable ways.
Maintain a visible, approachable, and engaged presence throughout the school community.

Student Support

Build positive relationships with students that support both academic success and personal growth.
Maintain high expectations while demonstrating persistence and commitment to student achievement.
Proactively supervise students and consistently implement school discipline procedures.
Monitor student transitions to ensure a safe, orderly, and efficient learning environment.
Recognize situations requiring administrative support and respond appropriately to student needs.

Professional Responsibilities

Demonstrate professionalism through punctuality, preparedness, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of urgency.
Maintain professional appearance and conduct in accordance with the Employee Handbook.
Communicate regularly and effectively with school administration.
Seek administrative guidance regarding professional concerns or situations affecting job performance.
Maintain strict confidentiality while fulfilling all mandated reporting responsibilities.
Immediately report suspected child abuse or neglect in accordance with state law and district policy.
Implement feedback from administrators and instructional leaders promptly and effectively.
Maintain professional relationships by resolving conflicts respectfully and collaboratively.
Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development, and school improvement initiatives.
Reflect on feedback with a growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
Assume additional leadership responsibilities and support school events and activities as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate fully in all required school safety procedures, emergency drills, and public safety protocols.

Qualifications

Valid teaching certification/licensure as required by the state.
Successful classroom teaching experience demonstrating effective instructional practices.
Experience analyzing student achievement data and implementing academic interventions.
Strong understanding of assessment practices differentiated instruction, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and/or Response to Intervention (RTI).
Excellent communication, collaboration, coaching, and organizational skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, families, and administrators.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience serving in an instructional leadership, intervention, instructional coach, or TOSA role.
Experience facilitating professional learning communities (PLCs).
Knowledge of curriculum alignment, benchmark assessments, and progress monitoring systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong instructional coaching and mentoring skills.
Ability to analyze assessment data and use findings to improve instruction.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Commitment to equity, student achievement, and continuous school improvement.
Ability to work collaboratively while demonstrating initiative and leadership.

Working Conditions

This position requires frequent interaction with students, staff, families, and administrators in a school setting. The employee must be able to move throughout the campus, supervise students, attend meetings, and participate in school events and professional development activities.

The Interventionist – TOSA is expected to demonstrate professionalism, integrity, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting student success while contributing positively to the overall school community.
