Payroll and Tax Customer Support
Location: Hybrid (Downtown Boulder, CO)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $60,000/year

About the Role

We’re looking for a Customer Support Specialist to join our team and be the friendly, knowledgeable voice our clients rely on. In this role, you’ll support household employers by answering questions about payroll and tax filings, guiding them through our services, and solving real problems with empathy and clarity.

You’ll work in a hybrid environment, spending most days working remotely with 1–2 in-office days each week at our Boulder, CO office.

What You’ll Do

Respond to client inquiries via email and phone and chat, providing timely, accurate, and thoughtful support.
Explain payroll processes, payroll tax concepts, and our platform in a clear and approachable way.
File tax reports and maintain compliance across state and federal agencies.
Collaborate regularly with the Customer Success Manager to resolve complex or escalated issues.
Join daily team meetings (via Zoom or in-person) to stay aligned on tax developments, product updates, and customer needs.
Contribute ideas and feedback to improve our processes and enhance the client experience.
Complete and submit applications to obtain Federal Employer Identification Numbers (FEINs) and set up state tax accounts on behalf of clients.

Payroll or tax experience is a plus, but not required — we’re happy to train the right person!

Qualifications

2+ years of work experience in a customer-facing role (customer support, account management, or similar).
Comfort with numbers and willingness to learn payroll/tax concepts.
Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Tech-savvy and quick to learn new tools and platforms.
