Three Rivers, Michigan

CNC Operator II – First Shift

Three Rivers, MI Pay: $19.00 – $22.00/hour Shift: Monday – Thursday | 5.00AM – 3:30 PM

4-Day Work Week | Contract-to-Hire Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Operator II for our client in Three Rivers, Michigan. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking for long-term stability, skill growth, and a consistent 4-day work schedule.

Position Summary

The CNC Operator II is responsible for producing machined parts by operating CNC equipment while maintaining strict quality and safety standards in accordance with customer specifications and company requirements.

Candidates should have experience working with various types of materials and understand how material properties impact machining outcomes.

Experience with 5-axis machines is helpful.

Responsibilities

· Operate CNC mills and/or lathes following blueprints, engineering plans, and work orders

· Set tool registers, offsets, and reference points

· Verify machine settings by measuring positions and inspecting first-run parts and samples

· Perform drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations

· Troubleshoot machining processes and make necessary adjustments

· Replace worn tools and maintain production quality standards

· Complete production and quality documentation and logs

· Perform preventive maintenance and support equipment troubleshooting

· Communicate effectively between shifts regarding production status and needs

· Follow all safety procedures and quality standards

· Support additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Minimum of 3 years of CNC Operator I experience

· Strong blueprint reading skills

· Experience with mills and/or lathes

· Knowledge of GD&T, basic math, geometry, and trigonometry

· Ability to work with various materials and understand machining behavior

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

· Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

· Good written and verbal communication skills
