Full Job Description

Job Overview

Are you organized, compassionate, and passionate about making a difference? Join the Seneca County Opportunity Center and help empower individuals with developmental disabilities through self-advocacy, leadership opportunities, and community engagement.

In this rewarding role, you'll provide administrative support while helping coordinate meaningful events, fundraisers, and programs that give individuals a voice and opportunities to thrive.

What You'll Do

Coordinate and support self-advocacy activities, meetings, special events, fundraisers, and the annual Unity Conference.
Communicate with self-advocates, families, staff, and Service and Support Administrators (SSAs) regarding meetings and events.
Assist with transportation coordination and event logistics.
Maintain records, meeting minutes, rosters, financial records, and advocacy program documentation.
Support ACT Council and advocacy organizations including Unity, Aktion Club, STIR, and other leadership initiatives.
Coordinate advocacy-related finances, process payments, and work with the ACT Council Treasurer.
Assist with major fundraising events, including the Palm Sunday Dinner and raffle sales.
Create reports, spreadsheets, brochures, letters, and other materials using Microsoft Office.
Order supplies and maintain organized department files.
Provide occasional direct support and transportation for individuals served.
Fill in at the front reception desk as needed.
Assist with agency-wide events, annual staff training, and other administrative projects.

We're Looking For Someone Who Is

Organized and detail-oriented.
Friendly with excellent customer service and communication skills.
Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office.
Passionate about supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
A dependable team player who enjoys working with people.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of experience in clerical, administrative, receptionist, or secretarial work.
Experience using computer software and office technology.
Valid Ohio driver's license with acceptable driving record and proof of required automobile insurance.
Must successfully complete a background check

Pay & Benefits

Starting wage: $16.50/hour or higher based on experience
