Full Job Description

Amafruits LLC is a frozen superfruit company specializing in premium açaí and tropical fruit products for e-commerce, wholesale, foodservice, and distributor customers. Because our products are frozen and perishable, accuracy, timing, and communication are extremely important.

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Order Processing & Office Assistant to support daily order processing, customer communication, shipping coordination, and internal documentation. This is a process-driven role ideal for someone who is organized, calm under deadlines, and comfortable following written procedures.

Responsibilities

Process and review Amazon, Shopify, wholesale, and internal customer orders
Confirm order details including products, quantities, ship dates, delivery windows, addresses, and special instructions
Assist with frozen/perishable shipping coordination, tracking, delivery follow-up, and carrier exceptions
Monitor order timelines to help ensure shipments go out within required windows
Prepare customer confirmations and order updates using approved templates
Communicate professionally with customers, carriers, warehouse partners, and internal team members
Escalate order issues, customer concerns, shipping delays, or exceptions before taking action
Maintain accurate order notes, spreadsheets, logs, and documentation
Follow company SOPs for order processing, customer service, shipping, Amazon/Shopify procedures, and approvals
Support general administrative and order-related tasks as needed

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Experience in order processing, customer service, logistics, administrative support, or shipping coordination preferred
Comfortable working with time-sensitive orders and deadlines
Professional written communication skills
Able to follow procedures, templates, and approval processes
Organized, reliable, accountable, and coachable
Basic computer skills, including email and spreadsheets
Experience with Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, FedEx Ship Manager, QuickBooks, Excel, or Google Sheets is a plus

Schedule & Compensation

This is an in-person position in Mokena, IL.

Starting compensation is $20–$25 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule may be full-time depending on candidate availability and business needs. Candidates seeking higher compensation or a salaried opportunity should be prepared to consistently work up to 40 hours per week and take on additional responsibilities.

For the right candidate, this position may grow into a salaried role in the $40,000–$60,000 range, depending on experience, schedule, responsibilities, and performance.
