Full Job Description

Job Summary
The Executive Director (ED) serves as the chief administrative leader of the volunteer clinic, responsible for overall organizational leadership, operational management, fundraising, and community relations. The ED works closely with the Board of Directors to execute the clinic’s mission, strengthen its financial sustainability, and build strong partnerships with donors, volunteers, and community stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Governance (10%)

Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and clinic operations.

Administrative & Operational Oversight (35%)

Oversee non-clinical staff and volunteers.
Manage administrative processes, including HR policies and office systems.
Ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations, grant requirements, and legal filings.

Fundraising & Donor Relations (30%)

Develop and implement fundraising strategies, including grants, donor cultivation, and community events.
Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
Coordinate donor recognition and ensure transparent stewardship of funds.

Financial Management (10%)

Develop and manage annual budget in partnership with the Board’s finance committee.
Oversee bookkeeping, reporting, and fiscal accountability.
Monitor and ensure the financial health of the clinic.

Community & Public Relations (15%)

Represent the clinic in the community, with partner organizations, and in media/press.
Promote the clinic’s mission through outreach, partnerships, and advocacy.
Serve as the public face of the clinic for funders, patients, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, public health administration, or related field.
2+ years of leadership or management experience.
Preferred experience in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Passion for serving underserved populations and advancing healthcare access.
Occasional (up to 4 hours per week) work in person in Ocean County, NJ.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
