Full Job Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Data and Document Preparation Processor is responsible for timely and accurately processing of child support payments received for the State of Kansas. This position performs multiple tasks: sorting and opening mail; preparing documents for imaging, scanning, and indexing; data entry. This position also serves as a backup to perform any duties in the section as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Uses state-of-the-art imaging and electronic record retention equipment
Exercises attention to detail to ensure image readability.
Adept at operating computers and office equipment.
Acts in a precise manner repetitively.
Possesses a high-level of accuracy with data entry skills.
Contributes to the site wide accuracy rate of 99.99%
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Ensures the confidentiality of all information contained.
Personal commitment to service excellence.
Demonstrates successful performance in a team environment and as an individual contributor.
Applies policy and procedures knowledge and processes child support payments within service level requirements.
Adheres to all safety and security procedures.
Adheres to overall site Risk Activities, such as daily document shredding, and piggybacking.
Mandatory overtime may be required at the end of shift in order to meet the daily deadlines.
Regular and timely attendance
Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

At least six months experience in a mailroom environment is preferred
Minimum of 1 year experience in reconciling accounts is preferred.
Minimum of 1 year experience working in payment processing center is preferred.
Experience in child support is preferred.
