Full Job Description

Pay is commensurate with experience. Full time (9 months with pay and benefits year round), exempt, benefits eligible. This position is off all school breaks.

Our mission at the Bert Nash Center as the Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) of Douglas County is to advance the health of the community through comprehensive behavioral health services responsive to evolving needs and changing environments. We accomplish this by believing in our team. Each person that works for the Bert Nash Center contributes directly to the success of our clients, organization, and community. Responsibilities: Working a 9 month, school-based calendar, the primary responsibility of the WRAP Therapist will be to provide clinical services, prevention, and education outreach to at-risk children attending Douglas County public schools and their families designed to enhance youth mental wellbeing and success in school.

Specific duties include but not limited to:

Assigned to one or more schools for the provision of behavioral health services as part of the educational team at each school.
A member of their school(s)'s mental health team and expected to be a regular attendee at meetings.
providing high quality direct services, including crisis intervention, therapeutic interventions, assessment, support services, intakes, and follow up to at-risk children and adolescents and their families;
screening, referral, and case management to help youth access relevant services;
maintaining data and documentation to track outcome measures and compiling outcome measure reports;
coordination and collaboration with other child serving systems including but not limited to juvenile justice systems;
supervising practicum students;
regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job; and
assuming additional responsibilities as circumstances warrant.

Qualifications: the WRAP Therapist position requires but not limited to:

a master's degree in counselling, psychology or social work and Kansas license in one of these disciplines; experience working with juveniles and families preferred;
experience in clinical interventions with juveniles and families, including crisis intervention;
experience in working with school personnel and in school settings;
basic computer fluency;
an ability to work independently and in cooperation with others;
strong organizational skills;
flexibility in assigned working hours;
a commitment to interdisciplinary and community mental health center approaches; and
an energetic and positive approach to the rapidly evolving changes and challenges of a complex work-place.

Pay: From $49,600.00 per year
