Full Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. This person will be responsible for performing various accounting and financial tasks to support the efficient operation of our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Duties include but not limited to;

- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data

- Enter financial transactions into the accounting system with a high level of accuracy

- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports

- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections

- Assist with technical accounting research and analysis

- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant regulations

- Assist with tax preparation and filing

-Payroll preparation

-Management of HR benefits (PTO, Health, Dental, etc.)

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of account reconciliation processes

- Proficient in data entry and data management within Excel

- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software

- Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and best practices

- Understanding of technical accounting principles and practices

- Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

- Basic understanding of tax regulations

- Preferably someone with experience in the transportation industry
