Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Armed Site Security Supervisor to lead security operations. This position is responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment by overseeing security staff, coordinating daily activities, and enforcing site-specific procedures and policies. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong communication and problem-solving skills who can effectively manage personnel, respond to incidents, and uphold high standards of service. Duties

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of assigned security officers at the designated site.
Ensure compliance with company policies and site post orders.
Conduct routine patrols, inspections, and post checks to verify proper security coverage and officer performance. Respond to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and disturbances; coordinate response procedures and document incidents accurately.
Maintain detailed reports including daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs.
Ensure officers maintain required licensing, certifications, and required training.
Provide on-site training, coaching, and performance evaluations for security personnel.
Communicate regularly with client representatives and company management regarding security operations, issues, and improvements.
Schedule staff, ensure full shift coverage, and coordinate replacements when necessary.
Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with occupational safety standards.
Maintain professional conduct while interacting with employees, visitors, contractors, and the public.
Ensure all security equipment and systems are operational and properly used.
Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the direct supervision and oversight of a team of Armed and Unarmed Protective Agents, including Shift Leads, ensuring effective security operations and adherence to established protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess an active and valid BSIS security guard card & BSIS firearm permit
BSIS training records for review upon hire
Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Must possess a valid CPR and first aid certification
Must possess knowledge of security procedures and protocols
Must possess strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Proficiency in report writing and basic computer systems.
Ability to use a weapon and other security equipment safely and effectively.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and authorities.
Ability to observe and report any suspicious or unusual activities or situations.
Ability to make sound judgments and decisions in stressful or emergency situations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work in different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical fitness and stamina to perform the duties of the job.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 10 years of security experience, with at least 5 years in a corporate security management.

Background Prerequisites:

Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, physical, and controlled substance testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in private security, law enforcement, military, or related protective services preferred.
Experience supervising personnel in a security environment strongly preferred.
Formal training in de-escalation tactics, conflict resolution or crisis intervention.
Possess a current and valid BSIS Baton Permit and any other certifications or training related to less-lethal force or defensive equipment.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

Work performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
May be required to respond quickly to emergencies, incidents, or security threats.
Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during patrols or supervision of officers.
Ability to climb stairs, conduct foot patrols, and perform physical inspections of facilities.
Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, or reach as needed during inspections or incident response.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to operate communication equipment, computers, and surveillance systems.
May be exposed to stressful or emergency situations involving injured, distressed, or combative individuals.
Requires frequent interaction with staff, visitors, and the public.
Work schedules may include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended or rotating shifts depending on operational needs.
Must be able to remain alert, focused, and responsive throughout the shift.
