Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) — OB/GYN Practice, Beverly Hills

Location: Beverly Hills, CA Job Type: Full-Time Certification Required: RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) Experience Required: Minimum 5 years

About the Role

Our busy, high-volume OB/GYN practice in Beverly Hills is seeking an experienced, RDMS-certified Sonographer to join our fast-paced clinical team. We see a diverse patient population with high expectations for both clinical excellence and a polished, concierge-level patient experience. The ideal candidate thrives under a full daily schedule, moves efficiently between rooms without sacrificing accuracy, and is comfortable balancing a high patient volume with the warmth and attentiveness our patients expect.

This is a great fit for a sonographer who enjoys variety, keeps pace in a busy clinic, and takes pride in delivering precise imaging quickly and confidently.

Key Responsibilities

Perform nuchal translucency (NT) scans for first-trimester aneuploidy screening
Conduct BUN Studies (Biochemistry, Ultrasound, Nuchal Translucency) as part of combined first-trimester screening protocols
Perform complex transvaginal ultrasounds, including evaluation of pelvic anatomy and pathology
Capture and interpret 3D/4D ultrasound images for fetal anatomy and diagnostic review
Perform pelvic ultrasounds to evaluate fibroids, ovarian cysts, and endometriosis
Conduct third-trimester ultrasounds with umbilical artery Doppler studies to assess fetal well-being
Perform fetal growth scans, including biometry and estimated fetal weight calculations
Accurately document, measure, and archive all sonographic findings in accordance with facility and ACR/AIUM standards
Collaborate with radiologists, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and referring physicians to communicate findings
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout all procedures
Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment; report any technical issues promptly
Adhere to all HIPAA, safety, and infection control protocols
Manage a full daily patient schedule efficiently, often with back-to-back appointments, while maintaining imaging quality and patient rapport
Adapt quickly to schedule changes, add-on appointments, and urgent same-day cases typical of a high-volume practice
Deliver a warm, high-touch patient experience consistent with the expectations of a premier Beverly Hills practice

Required Qualifications

Active RDMS certification (ARDMS) in OB/GYN
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience performing obstetric and gynecologic ultrasounds
Demonstrated proficiency in:
Nuchal translucency and first-trimester screening (BUN Study)
Complex transvaginal scanning
3D/4D imaging techniques
Gynecologic pathology evaluation (fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis)
Third-trimester assessments including umbilical artery Doppler
Fetal growth and biometry scans
Strong understanding of maternal-fetal medicine protocols and ACOG/AIUM guidelines
Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient-facing care

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working alongside maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialists
Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Prior experience in a high-volume, fast-paced OB/GYN or private practice setting
Comfortable working with a high-profile or high-expectation patient population
BLS/CPR certification
