The Role

The Revenue Recovery Analyst is a highly strategic position combining rigorous hands-on data auditing with cross-functional diplomacy to protect profit margins and optimize supply chain operations. Responsible for validating, disputing, and preventing lost revenue across the company’s retail and distribution ecosystem. This includes disputing a host of deductions and short-paid invoices caused by any number of invalid compliance fines, shortages, and pricing errors. The role protects margin and strengthens retailer compliance by identifying root causes and implementing procedures that minimize deductions while recovering lost dollars.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means fewer dollars written off, faster and better-documented disputes, and a measurable drop in recurring deductions. The analyst does not just recover revenue after the fact — they trace deductions back to carrier errors, EDI mismatches, and product-setup issues so the same problems stop happening, strengthening trading-partner relationships along the way.

Key Responsibilities

– Dispute Management: Review and contest unjustified retailer deductions, compliance fines, and short-paid invoices.

– Root Cause Analysis: Identify operational breakdowns in shipping, labeling, or electronic data interchange (EDI) that trigger penalties, and use those insights to prevent future losses.

– Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with logistics, sales, and accounting teams to fix process gaps and reduce repeat revenue loss.

– Documentation & Validation: Retrieve and attach required proof documentation, and validate which disputes are worth pursuing before a claim is filed.

– Recovery & Prevention: Recover revenue lost to compliance fines, chargebacks, overages, shortages, and other deductions, while surfacing root causes so the supply chain gets healthier over time.

Core Skills & Qualifications

– Data Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience working with retail portal data such as THD Supplier Hub and SPS Commerce.

– Retail Acumen: Strong understanding of vendor agreements and retailer compliance guidelines, including The Home Depot Supplier Hub and routing-guide requirements.

– Deduction Knowledge: Familiarity with retailer and distributor deduction types — chargebacks, shortages, compliance fines, overages, and fee discrepancies.

– EDI Awareness: Understanding of EDI processes and the common data mismatches that trigger penalties.

– Communication: Clear, organized communicator able to coordinate across logistics, sales, and accounting to resolve issues at the source.

Requirements

– Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.

– Experience: 3–5+ years in account management, ideally supporting The Home Depot.

– Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, impeccable attention to detail, and top-tier conflict-resolution skills.

What We’re Looking For

– Hands-on experience with The Home Depot’s vendor management systems, specifically Supplier Hub and SPS Commerce.

– Deep familiarity with THD’s Merch Payables and Deduction Management portal.

– Experience managing 3PL inventory replenishment and in-stock / fill-rate targets.

Nice to Have

– 3+ years in retail supply chain, vendor replenishment, or account operations.

– 3+ years of familiarity with revenue recovery procedures.

– Proficiency with relevant ERP and vendor tools, including SPS Commerce and Supplier Hub.

What We Offer
