Prototype Manufacturing | Flow Waterjet

Duggan Manufacturing – Shelby Township, MI

We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented CNC Waterjet Operator who takes pride in producing high-quality parts and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Position Summary

Operate and maintain our Flow CNC Waterjet Cutting System while producing precision components from a variety of materials including:

Carbon Steel
Stainless Steel
Aluminum
Plastics
Composite Materials
Tooling Materials

This position requires someone who is safety-minded, mechanically inclined, and committed to producing quality work.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor a Flow CNC Waterjet
Set up jobs according to blueprints and work instructions
Verify material type and thickness before processing
Load and unload material using overhead cranes and forklifts
Monitor cut quality and make necessary adjustments
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
Maintain garnet levels, water quality, and machine consumables
Complete routine preventive maintenance and daily inspections
Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to meet customer expectations

Qualifications

Previous CNC manufacturing experience preferred
Waterjet experience is a plus, but not required
Experience operating CNC lasers, plasma tables, routers, machining centers, or mills is highly desirable
Ability to read mechanical blueprints
Experience using calipers and other precision measuring equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
Excellent attention to detail
Reliable attendance and positive attitude
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

We’re willing to train the right candidate with CNC manufacturing experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $24.00–$32.00 per hour

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
