We are looking for a CNC Programmer!

Seyer is a turnkey supplier with extensive capabilities, including CNC machining, design engineering, mechanical and electrical assembly, painting, kitting, welding, and NADCAP-certified penetrant and magnetic particle inspection. Our team is comprised of individuals proudly committed to the objectives of quality and productivity.

All job offers are contingent on the successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check.

JOB DUTIES:

Responsible for determining the most efficient method of machining using efficient tool paths, techniques and tooling.
Responsible for writing clear and thorough setup instructions on tool lists and setup sketches.
Verify all programs written using Vericut to review for completeness and obvious errors (wrong geometry, tool crashes, etc).
Utilize defined standard tooling packages as much as possible on specified machining cells.
Effectively communicate with up and downstream internal customers on any manufacturing or producibility issues that arise or are foreseen.
Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS-9100, for example).
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S standards.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related duties as needed.
Accomplish strategic departmental and organizational goals by completing related duties as needed

JOB SKILLS:

3+ years experience programming with NX.
3+ years experience 5-axis mill programming
Knowledge of lathe / mill-turn programming
3+ years experience using Vericut verification software or equivalent
Knowledge of Mastercam is a plus
3+ years experience as a machinist
Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
Working knowledge of GD&T.
Excellent organization skills.
Demonstrated mechanical and technical knowledge with the ability to resolve problems and provide technical solutions.
Understanding of LEAN manufacturing concepts.
MS Office working experience (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Customer focus attitude
Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner and relate in a positive fashion towards individuals throughout the company and maintain effective working relationships.
