JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

CREDENTIAL SPECIALIST (CONTRACTUAL)

DESCRIPTION:

Under the direct supervision of the Medical Office Administrator (MOA) and general supervision of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), this position verifies and maintains the professional licenses, certifications, and work history of Nevada Urban Indians (NUI) providers. This position ensures doctors, nurses, and staff meet all legal, state, and insurance standards before treating patients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree in health administration or business preferred, and two years of related work experience in medical administration or compliance. Must have a current CPR card or be able to obtain one.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Verify credentials: Check specific licenses (MD, APRN, LCSW, LMFT, LADC, etc.), board certifications, degrees, and work history through primary sources.

· Manage databases: Keep electronic records accurate and up to date in credentialing software and/or EHR system.

· Track renewals: Monitor expiring documents and guide staff through timely renewals.

· Ensure compliance: Follow federal, state, and accreditation rules like CMS or The Joint Commission.

· Handle enrollment: Process applications and enroll NUI providers in major commercial, Medicaid, and other insurance networks.

· Communication: Talk with NUI providers and/or staff and outside agencies to fix missing or incorrect information.

· Audit CAQH profiles: Maintain and update providers' Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare profiles regularly.

· Strong computer literacy and experience with data systems or credentialing software such as CAQH ProView, MD-Staff or Symplr.

· High attention to detail, strong organization skills, and possess extreme discretion with sensitive provider histories.

Maintain safe and clean medical office/clinic environment.
Provide daily program reports and participate actively in daily clinic, board committee, staff and one on one meetings with the MOA and CEO
Other duties as assigned.
