Full Job Description

Our firm is seeking a full-time Brokerage Associate to add to our remote-first team. Candidates should come to us with a minimum of 2 years insurance agency experience, and maintain their Property & Casualty license.

Prompt and accurate placement of coverage by our Brokerage capacity is the fundamental prerequisite for delivery of the Neil Benton value proposition to clients. Brokerage Associates are the key players in ensuring excellence in this critical area.

Brokerage Associates are responsible for producing new and renewal insurance quotes and managing carrier relationships. They are responsible for providing outstanding service and support to clients, and managing and monitoring client accounts. These positions report to our Director of Brokerage and Insurance Operations. Associates also assist with research to stay up-to-date on market trends and provide tailored advice to clients based on their individual needs and goals.

This role is 95% remote, work from US Home Location. It requires team members to operate independently, effectively, striving to make all prudent progress on assignments during work hours.

General Administration
Attend regular web-based weekly check-in meetings (15-30 minutes) and monthly training/development workshops (90-120 minutes). Periodic in-person meetings will also occur as needed.
Provide daily monitoring and execution of assignments (Monday - Friday)
Provide same business day maximum response and completion time on all communications and tasks. Complete assignments before or by all designated deadlines.
Execute all task/project/time-tracking within the tools and methods required and provided by Neil Benton (e.g. Zoho CRM or Projects).
Processing. Follow Neil Benton standard method for inbox processing (electronic and physical as applicable).
Research. Provide initial research spike reports on a variety of topics as requested.
Brokerage Production
Support information gathering by Business Development.
Produce proposals as requested by clients and Business Development, and as described by internal procedures.
Provide proper advice and consultation regarding coverages and policy alternatives to clients and Business Development.
Brokerage Systems
Contribute to ongoing journaling, process documentation, and systems development.
Carrier Relationships
Maintain and grow relationships necessary for market access.
Placement Supervision
Review and manage policy/endorsement binding as required/assigned
Independence & Initiative
Must be able to work productively without constant or direct supervision.
Must be detail and deadline oriented.
Must make all available progress on tasks and projects in the absence of full information/instructions.
Must seek out work.
Research & Development
Strong research skills with both internal knowledge library (Google Drive) and general online resources.
Position requires team member to contribute to internal processes and documentation.

Appropriate Workspace (this position is 95% remote)
Position entails regular client contact (by phone and email) and thus requires applicant to have a private, tidy workspace available to them
Workspace(s) must provide reliable broadband internet access meeting minimum upload/download speed requirements (to be confirmed by periodic reports and testing)
Confidentiality
Neil Benton works daily with sensitive and confidential information. Candidates must be able to clear a standard background check, agree to standard non-disclosure agreements, and maintain strict client confidentiality at all times.

Structure:

FT 40 hrs per week
Work schedule is expected to be Monday - Friday 8:30-5:00 MST(with possible slight variations)
Hourly Wage
Range of Hourly wage DOE and commercial license status
