G & J Development, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Framer / Drywall Hanger to join our construction team. We are looking for a dependable, skilled individual with hands-on experience in framing and drywall installation, preferably in commercial construction.
Responsibilities
- Perform metal and/or wood framing according to project plans and specifications
- Measure, cut, and install framing materials
- Install drywall on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces
- Measure, cut, fit, and securely fasten drywall panels
- Install backing, blocking, and other related framing components as required
- Read and follow construction plans, drawings, and specifications
- Use hand and power tools safely and properly
- Coordinate with supervisors and other trades on the job site
- Inspect work for proper alignment, quality, and workmanship
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow OSHA, job-site, and company safety requirements
Qualifications
- Previous framing and/or drywall hanging experience required
- Commercial construction experience preferred
- Experience with metal stud framing preferred
- Knowledge of drywall installation methods and construction practices
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install materials
- Ability to read construction plans and specifications preferred
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Ability to perform the physical functions of the position, including standing, bending, climbing ladders, lifting, carrying, and positioning construction materials
- Dependable and able to report to assigned job sites as scheduled
- Ability to work effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other trades
- Valid driver's license required only if the position involves operating a company vehicle
