Clinical Science Program Specialist

Location: Oro Valley, AZ
Job Type: 12 Months Contract (Possibility of extension)
Pay Rate: $35 - $37/hour

Job Description

We are seeking multiple Clinical Science Program Specialists to support Clinical Diagnostic (CDx) Pharma Services projects. This role is responsible for managing multiple clinical testing and laboratory services projects from initiation through contract completion under the supervision of a Program Manager. The specialist will act as the primary point of contact for customers and ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple clinical testing and lab services projects from initiation through contract completion under the supervision of a Program Manager.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers.
Perform tactical coordination of timelines for all projects and functions within CDx Pharma Services.
Develop project plans, establish, and coordinate timelines for assigned projects and functions.
Manage execution of cross-functional plans and track progress of activities.
Identify gaps, potential bottlenecks, or delays and challenge assumptions.
Oversee and guide day-to-day activities of sample process flow and ensure accurate reporting of results.
Implement and promote best practices within the clinical sciences team.
Foster continuous improvement by ensuring knowledge and experience exchange.
Guide and manage cross-functional interactions to complete assigned projects within deadlines.
Interface with external resources including Contract Research Organizations (CROs), site investigators, and client counterparts.
Manage meeting activities including setting agendas, organizing meeting times, and editing meeting minutes.
Track, maintain, and communicate project reports and clinical study data to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of project and/or clinical trial coordinator/management experience in a regulated, CRO, diagnostic, and/or pharmaceutical industry with regulated documentation.
Exposure to clinical studies.
Experience with clinical projects requiring rapid activity and milestone achievement.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Bachelor’s degree required (Life Sciences preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience with standard project management processes (PMI) preferred.
Experience in clinical trial management and knowledge of bio-sample (clinical testing) management and process flow preferred.
Experience in clinical studies or companion diagnostics preferred.
Diagnostic and/or pharmaceutical industry experience and relevant diagnostic area knowledge preferred.
