Role Description

This is a full-time opportunity for a Receptionist/Patient Coordinator. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients, delivering a welcoming and efficient experience while supporting daily clinic operations. This role is responsible for scheduling appointments, managing patient check-in and check-out, verifying insurance, and maintaining accurate patient records. The coordinator ensures smooth patient flow, communicates clearly with clinical staff, and addresses patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information are essential.

Responsibilities

Greet and check in patients; manage front desk operations
Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments
Verify insurance coverage and collect copays/payments
Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management system
Coordinate patient flow with clinical staff to minimize wait times
Respond to phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries
Ensure compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards (e.g., HIPAA)

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
1–2 years of experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred
Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes (vision/medical) is a plus
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling systems
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, phone systems)
Excellent time management skills

Clinic Hours:

*Employees must arrive 15 minutes prior to the office opening.

Monday – 9AM - 5:30PM
Tuesday – 11AM - 5:30PM *Flexible morning hours
Wednesday – 9AM - 5:30PM
Thursday – 9AM - 5:30PM
Friday – 9AM - 5:30PM
Saturday – Closed
Sunday – Closed

Job Type: Full-time
