Position Summary
This position reports to the Controller and is responsible for a variety of functions related to Human Resources, recruitment, policy, compliance, payroll, and training. The person needs to have previous Human Resource, payroll, and recruiting experience. Strong interpersonal, communications skills, and organization will be used to complete a full load of duties daily. This role will need to be highly self directed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Policy Development and Compliance, ensuring all HR practices comply with Federal, State, and local regulations
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Primarily recruiting for manufacturing positions to replace the overhead of temp agencies
- Payroll Administration: Maintaining payroll system, oversee data entry working with accounting to ensure accurate and timely pay cycles
- HR Systems and Process Implementation: Set up and maintain systems for onboarding, offboarding, document retention with security and compliance and necessary manager visibility
- Benefits Administration and Support
- Worker's Compensation Coordination
- Training and Support for Managers: Provide guidance for adherence to policy and for edge cases where policy may not exist. Provide training for in place systems and processes, changes, and new initiatives
- Employee Support: Provide support for employees to facilitate information changes, benefit onboarding and questions, exit interviews, etc…
- Recommendations for keeping organizational liability to a minimum

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a comparable position
- Proficiency in all MS software, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with payroll solutions and processors (NetChex a plus)
- Familiar with 50+ employee labor law and regulations
- Must pass background screening
- Minimal travel or ability to facilitate live video face to face meetings
- Preferred: Degree or certification in related field (SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
- Must be able to work a Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM schedule
