If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Kania Law Office.

Kania Law Office is a highly regarded and client-focused law firm specializing in general litigation involving Bankruptcy law and civil litigation cases. With a commitment to delivering exceptional legal services and achieving favorable outcomes for our clients, we are seeking an experienced paralegal to play a crucial role in supporting our legal team.

Responsibilities:

Manage bankruptcy other civil litigation cases from inception to resolution, demonstrating a deep understanding of laws and regulations.
Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for trials, hearings, and depositions, including organizing documents, drafting legal correspondence, and conducting research.
Maintain organized case files, ensuring all relevant documents, correspondence, and records are accurate and up-to-date.
Conduct legal research to support case strategies, staying informed about relevant legal developments, precedents, and regulations.
Assist with client communication, providing updates on case progress and addressing inquiries as needed.
Coordinate with external parties, such as medical professionals, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel, to gather necessary information and documents.
Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents under the guidance of attorneys.
Utilize case management software to track and manage case-related tasks and deadlines.
Stay proactive in identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency within the legal team.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, with a proven track record of managing cases.
Proficiency in legal research, case management, and document drafting.
Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and court procedures.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in all documents and communications.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with clients, attorneys, and external parties.
Proficiency in using legal research tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when necessary.
Case management in any of our practice areas and an ability to manage cases that are transaction based.
Experience on the front line interacting with new and current clients. Providing assistance to both the client and the attorney managing the case.
Past experience with bankruptcy or other transactional legal processes a plus.
