Front Desk Coordinator (Per Diem, Shifts)

About the role:

As the Front Desk Coordinator at GenPrime LA, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, playing a vital role in ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. This role involves managing front desk operations efficiently while adhering to California labor laws and healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet and welcome patients and visitors, providing them with a positive first impression of the clinic.

- Manage front desk activities, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries.

- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is updated and filed correctly.

- Assist patients with the completion of necessary forms and documentation.

- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and timely appointments.

- Handle billing and payment transactions, providing receipts and processing insurance claims as needed.

- Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and equipped with necessary supplies.

- Adhere to clinic policies and ensure compliance with U.S. and California healthcare regulations.

- Maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA and local privacy laws.

- Provide administrative support to the clinic's staff as required.

Basic Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED equivalent; an associate degree in business administration or healthcare is a plus.

- Previous experience working as a Front Desk Coordinator.

- Previous experience working in an IVF or fertility clinic.

- Proven experience as a receptionist, front desk representative, or a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and patient management software.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with professionalism.

- Fluent in English; proficiency in other local languages is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous experience in an IVF or fertility clinic.

- Certification in medical office administration or similar training.

- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.

Employment Details:

- Position Type: Part-time

- Schedule: 9am-5pm, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

- Compensation: $20-$22 per hour, depending on experience
