Join One of New Jersey's Top Home Care Teams

BrightStar Care of Morris & Essex County is seeking a motivated, energetic, and highly organized Healthcare Recruiter & Onboarding Specialist to help us attract, hire, and retain exceptional caregivers and nursing professionals.

This is not a traditional HR position. We are looking for someone who is passionate about recruiting, enjoys building relationships, and takes pride in finding high-quality caregivers and nursing professionals who make a difference in our clients' lives.

The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They are comfortable making outbound recruiting calls, developing new recruiting strategies, screening candidates thoroughly, managing multiple priorities, and ensuring every new employee has an outstanding onboarding experience.

Responsibilities:

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

Own the recruiting process from sourcing through onboarding.
Proactively recruit caregivers and nursing professionals using Indeed, referrals, social media, community partnerships, networking, job fairs, and other creative recruiting strategies.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified caregivers and nursing professionals to meet current and future staffing needs.
Make outbound recruiting calls and follow up with candidates quickly and consistently.
Conduct thorough phone and in-person interviews to identify dependable, compassionate, high-quality caregivers and nursing professionals.
Develop and implement new recruiting ideas, sourcing strategies, and recruiting tools to improve hiring results.
Monitor recruiting performance and recommend improvements to increase applicant quality and hiring success.
Manage recruiting resources responsibly while staying within budget.
Partner with leadership to understand staffing priorities and fill open positions with a strong sense of urgency.

Onboarding & Credentialing

Coordinate all aspects of the onboarding process to create a positive and professional new hire experience.
Collect, review, and verify all required employment documents, licenses, certifications, background checks, and compliance requirements.
Maintain organized, accurate, and compliant employee files with exceptional attention to detail.
Schedule orientation and ensure employees are prepared to begin work successfully.
Track outstanding documentation and follow up promptly to avoid delays in hiring.

Employee Support

Serve as a trusted resource for caregivers and nursing professionals by answering employment-related questions promptly and professionally.
Build positive relationships with employees from their first interview throughout their employment.
Assist with employee communication and engagement initiatives that support retention.

Team Support

Learn the overall operations of the business and willingly assist with office projects and operational needs when necessary.
Demonstrate flexibility and a team-first attitude by helping wherever needed.
Continuously look for opportunities to improve recruiting, onboarding, and administrative processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, healthcare recruiting, or related experience preferred.
Experience recruiting CHHAs, LPNs, RNs, or other healthcare professionals is strongly preferred.
Excellent interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable making outbound recruiting calls and building relationships with candidates.
Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Microsoft Office, and online recruiting platforms.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
