Lawn Care Applicator / Turf Care Technician

Location: Scotch Plains, NJ
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–4:30 PM | Weekends Off
Starting Pay: $22.00+ per hour (based on experience)

What You'll Be Doing

Turf Care & Application Services

Apply fertilizers, weed control products, insecticides, and other turf care products safely and accurately
Diagnose lawn issues including weeds, insects, diseases, and turf stress
Mix, load, and handle products according to company and regulatory guidelines
Monitor lawn conditions and identify opportunities for improvement

Additional Services

You'll assist with services such as:

Core Aeration
Overseeding
Grub Control
Disease Management
Mosquito, Flea & Tick Control
Tree & Shrub Care Programs

Route Management

Review and complete assigned service routes efficiently
Use mobile technology to document services and customer notes
Maintain accurate service records
Represent the company professionally at every property

Equipment & Vehicle Care

Operate spreaders, sprayers, and application equipment safely
Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections
Maintain clean, organized, and professional-looking equipment

Customer Communication

Leave informative service summaries after each visit
Answer basic customer questions regarding lawn health and treatments
Communicate recommendations and concerns to management when needed

Help customers achieve healthier, greener lawns
Maintain equipment and vehicles in excellent condition

Qualifications

Required

Must be at least 18 years old
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred

Previous lawn care, landscaping, turf management, or pest control experience
Experience operating lawn care equipment
Pesticide Applicator License (not required)

No license? No problem. We will provide training and help cover the cost of obtaining required licenses and certifications.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to walk extensively throughout the day
Ability to work outdoors in heat, humidity, and changing weather conditions
Ability to repeatedly enter and exit company vehicles throughout the day
