Carrier Sales Representative

Location: Boston, MA or Remote
Department: Carrier Sales

Reports to: Carrier Sales Manager

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Carrier Sales Representative (CSR) to join our Carrier Sales team. In this role, you’ll manage relationships with carrier partners, source capacity, and negotiate rates to ensure successful freight execution.

You’ll play a critical role in keeping supply chains moving, balancing carrier needs with client requirements, and helping FreightPlus deliver on its promise of reliability, cost savings, and innovation. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and wants to grow their career in logistics.

What You’ll Do

Develop & Manage Carrier Portfolio – Build and maintain strong carrier relationships to support customer freight needs.
Negotiate & Secure Capacity – Source carriers, negotiate rates, and ensure both spot and contracted freight are covered competitively.
Ensure Service Excellence – Maintain consistent communication with carriers, proactively addressing service disruptions to ensure reliable execution.
Meet Performance Metrics – Drive results across outbound calls, proactive tracking, service reliability, and other defined KPIs.
Leverage Tools & Data – Use internal systems and external resources to strategically source and optimize carrier capacity.
Analyze Market Trends – Monitor rate and capacity shifts to inform pricing strategies and improve carrier utilization.

What You’ll Bring

Prior experience in carrier sales, logistics, or a related sales environment preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Highly motivated with a strong sense of accountability and a results-driven mindset.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
