Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal II to join our legal team. This full-time position plays a critical role in supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process and ensuring the efficient management of legal files, deadlines, and court filings.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively with attorneys, legal support staff, and case managers.

What You'll Do

Manage and maintain attorney calendars, deadlines, and court schedules
Communicate with clients, vendors, courts, and opposing counsel
Organize and maintain legal files and case documentation
Prepare and file documents with state and federal courts
Review legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Draft pleadings, motions, declarations, discovery documents, and other legal filings
Assist with legal research and case preparation
Coordinate depositions, including preparation of notices and related documents
Support mediation preparation and coordination
Collaborate with attorneys, legal support staff, and case managers to ensure efficient case progression
Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of paralegal experience
Paralegal Certificate or qualifications meeting California Business and Professions Code §6450 requirements
Experience with legal research and calendaring
Experience preparing motions, oppositions, declarations, replies, Tables of Contents (TOCs), Tables of Authorities (TOAs), and separate statements
Experience coordinating depositions and drafting deposition notices and objections
Experience coordinating mediations preferred
Lemon Law experience preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined
Ability to follow established procedures and protocols
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Ability to work in a hybrid environment when needed
