Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Foreclosure Litigation Attorney to manage a high-volume caseload of both contested and uncontested foreclosure matters across New York. This is a hands-on role ideal for a skilled litigator with strong motion practice, courtroom experience, and the ability to independently handle files from inception through judgment.

This opportunity is best suited for an attorney with experience representing lenders, mortgage servicers, or financial institutions in foreclosure litigation.

Duties

Draft, file, and argue dispositive and procedural motions, including motions for summary judgment
Appear in court for conferences, hearings, and mandatory settlement conferences
Manage all aspects of litigation, including discovery, negotiations, and contested proceedings
Independently manage a high-volume caseload, ensuring deadlines, accuracy, and compliance
Ensure adherence to New York foreclosure laws, court rules, and client-specific guidelines
Maintain consistent, professional communication and reporting to institutional clients
Exercise sound legal judgment while balancing efficiency and productivity
Maintain a calm, composed, and professional presence in court and during high-pressure situations

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of New York foreclosure litigation experience
Significant experience handling contested foreclosure matters and motion practice
Direct experience representing lenders, banks, or mortgage servicers (plaintiff-side)
Strong knowledge of New York foreclosure statutes, court procedures, and compliance requirements
Experience with institutional client reporting systems and guidelines
Ability to manage a high-volume practice with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Professional, responsive, and approachable communication style
Demonstrated ability to work in a steady, thoughtful, and solutions-oriented manner
Active and in good standing with the New York State Bar

Pay: $170,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
